What the numbers show
When we last checked (30 October 2026), workafro listed 203 remote roles that name Kenya as a country you can work from. They came from 49 different employers.
On top of those, another 447 roles were open across Africa, EMEA or worldwide on 30 October 2026. People living in Kenya can apply for those too, as long as nothing else in the ad rules them out. We come back to them below.
Treat this as a snapshot, not a ranking. Roles open and close every week, so the list will look different on the day you read this. Being on it doesn't mean an employer works with workafro or endorses us. It only means the employer had open roles naming Kenya that day.
Three things stand out. A few employers post a big share of the Kenya roles. Many of those employers are staffing agencies. And most roles expect some experience.
Employers with the most roles naming Kenya
These employers had the most roles naming Kenya on 30 October 2026. The number next to each one is how many of its roles named Kenya that day.
- Pavago: 76 roles

Pavago alone had 76 of the 203 roles, more than a third. Its titles included business development representative, virtual assistant, executive assistant and recruiter.
The rest of the list is very mixed. Moniepoint's titles were mostly senior engineering roles, such as principal engineer and head of engineering. Teach For All's included several director-level roles. Gramian Consulting Group's titles named AI projects and AI evaluation work, so our guide to AI training and data annotation jobs is worth a read before you apply there.

Another 34 roles didn't fit one category, so we file them under Other. Smaller groups make up the rest.
Entry level: 34 of the 203 roles carried our Entry level tag. That's about one in six. So most roles naming Kenya expect experience. If you're starting out, look for the Entry level tag on the Kenya page, and read our guide to entry-level remote jobs in Africa for roles that often take beginners.
What agencies mean for you
Many roles naming Kenya come through remote staffing and talent agencies. On this list, Pavago, Remote Raven and Hire Hangar are agencies of that kind. Together they had 99 of the 203 roles on 30 October 2026, almost half.
An agency isn't a bad sign. It's just a different deal from working straight for a company. Some agency ads are for the agency's own team, such as Hire Hangar's internal recruiter roles. Others are for placements with clients. Here's what that means:
- The agency places you with a client. You'll often do the work for a business you haven't heard of yet. The job title may not tell you who the client is, so ask.
- Check who pays you. Ask whether the agency or the client pays you, in which currency, how often and by which method.
- Read the contract. Find out whether you're an employee or a contractor, your hours, the time zone you'll cover, and what happens if the placement ends.
- Ask about timing. Some agencies keep a pool of candidates and match them to clients later. Ask how long that usually takes.

Roles open across Africa, EMEA and worldwide
The 203 roles that name Kenya aren't your only option. On 30 October 2026, workafro also listed 447 roles open across Africa, EMEA or worldwide. That's more than twice as many, and people in Kenya can apply for them too.
Read who can apply before you start. A worldwide role can still limit time zones, payroll countries or work permits. EMEA covers Europe, the Middle East and Africa, so you'll compete with applicants from all three. Our guides on what worldwide remote really means and EMEA remote jobs from Africa explain what to look for.
How to apply and stay safe
- Never pay to apply. Honest employers and agencies don't charge you for an application, training or a placement. If anyone asks for money, stop.
- Apply only on the employer's own page. Every Apply button on workafro goes there. Don't move to WhatsApp or Telegram because a stranger asked you to.
- Read who can apply. Check the countries, time zone and hours in the ad before you spend time on it.
- Tailor your CV. Match it to each role. Our guide to a remote CV for African applicants shows how.
- Plan for tax. If you live in Kenya, pay from abroad is usually taxable here. Read remote work taxes in Kenya before you sign.
