What the numbers show

When we last checked (30 October 2026), workafro listed 170 open remote roles that named Morocco, or a region that includes it such as MENA, as a place you can work from. Those roles came from 52 employers.

On top of that, 447 roles were open to people across Africa, EMEA or worldwide on 30 October 2026. You can apply for those from Morocco too, as long as you read the small print.

Treat these numbers as a snapshot. Roles close and new ones arrive every day, so the list on our Morocco page will have moved on by the time you read this. The pattern is what matters: which employers hire, what kinds of jobs they offer, and how to apply safely.

Employers with the most roles naming Morocco

These employers had the most open roles naming Morocco on 30 October 2026. The short notes describe what their role titles show, nothing more.

  • Huzzle: 48 roles, mostly sales development representative and account executive titles, plus some virtual assistant and bookkeeping roles.
  • Hire Hangar: 17 roles, including account executive, customer service, technical support and executive virtual assistant.
  • Intetics: 10 roles, senior developer, DevOps and QA titles marked short term or as a fixed project.
  • Wikimedia Foundation: 9 roles, senior posts in engineering, data, product, finance and marketing.
  • SupportYourApp: 6 roles in customer and technical support, several asking for French and English.
  • Udacity: 6 technical mentor roles, listed as independent contractor.
  • Mindrift: 4 roles for engineers to work as AI trainers.
  • Powerprozesse: 4 developer and architect roles.
  • Müller's Solutions: 4 consultant roles, several around SAP.
  • Mindera: 3 engineering roles.
  • Wavestone: 3 consultant roles, with titles in French.
  • Scalian: 3 roles in data, IT and accounting.

The rest of the 52 employers had just a few roles each, often only one. Don't skip them. A company with one opening is often easier to stand out at than one with dozens.

Which kinds of roles

Here's how the 170 roles naming Morocco split by type on 30 October 2026:

  • Sales: 47 roles. Many are sales development representative jobs, where you research leads and book meetings.
  • Engineering: 23 roles.
  • Data and AI: 20 roles.
  • Customer support: 17 roles.
  • Marketing: 7 roles.
  • Finance: 6 roles.
  • Operations: 6 roles.

Another 31 roles didn't fit one of our main categories.

For beginners, there's good news. 52 of the 170 roles carried our Entry level tag. Most of them are sales development representative, customer support and virtual assistant jobs, and many ask for French or Arabic. Our guide to entry-level remote jobs explains how to build proof of your skills before you apply.

Languages are a real edge. Role titles naming Morocco ask for French, Arabic, German, Dutch or Spanish, often alongside English. If you work well in French and English, read our guide to French-speaking remote jobs in Africa.

What agencies mean for you

Be clear about one thing: the two biggest names on the list, Huzzle and Hire Hangar, are remote staffing and talent agencies. Across workafro you'll see others too, such as Pavago and Remote Raven.

An agency doesn't usually do the work itself. It finds people and places them with a client company. That can be a good way in, because agencies hire often and know what clients want. But it changes a few things:

  • You may not know the client at first. Ask who you'll work for before you sign.
  • Check who your contract is with. It could be the agency, the client or a third company that runs payroll.
  • Check who pays you, how often, in which currency and by which method.
  • Check if you're an employee or a contractor. It affects tax, leave and notice. Our guide on contractor or employee contracts explains the difference.
  • A real agency doesn't charge you. The client pays the agency. You shouldn't pay for placement, training or equipment.

Read the job titles too. Some say short term, project, freelance or independent contractor. That tells you a lot about the deal before you apply.

Roles open across Africa, EMEA and worldwide

Don't stop at roles that name Morocco. On 30 October 2026, 447 more roles were open to people across Africa, EMEA or worldwide, and you can apply for those from Morocco too.

These roles get more applicants, so a strong, tailored application matters even more. Before you apply, check three things:

  • Who can apply. Some ads say worldwide but then list countries they can't hire in. Read the whole ad. Our guide on what worldwide remote really means covers the common traps.
  • Working hours. Morocco sits close to European time, which helps with EMEA roles. See EMEA remote jobs from Africa.
  • How they pay. Ask early whether they pay through payroll, an employer of record or as a contractor.

You'll find all of these on the remote jobs list.

How to apply and stay safe

  1. Never pay to apply. No real employer or agency asks for a fee to apply, interview, train or get equipment. If someone does, walk away.
  2. Apply on the employer's own page. Every workafro listing links to the employer's own job page. Apply there, not through someone who messages you on WhatsApp or Telegram.
  3. Read who can apply. Check the location line, the language you need and the working hours before you spend time on a cover letter.
  4. Tailor each application. Match your CV to the role, and show proof of the skills the ad asks for.
