For remote work

Your history

Two lines on what you do and one result.

One line each: role, employer, dates, then a result with a number.

What makes a CV work for remote jobs

A remote employer needs the normal things plus three more: where you are, when you can work, and whether your setup holds up. So put your country and time zone near the top, state your working hours, and mention your internet and power backup in one plain line.

The builder leaves out a photo, your ID number and your date of birth. An employer abroad doesn't need them on a CV. A section you leave empty doesn't show at all.

Where your CV is kept

Your text is saved in this browser's own storage so it's there when you come back. It isn't sent to us. It goes if you clear your browser data, so save a PDF too. On a shared computer, press Clear everything when you're done.

To save a PDF, press Print and choose Save as PDF. On a phone it's in the browser's share or print menu.

Next steps

Read our guide to a remote CV for African applicants. Then match your CV to a real advert, and find a role to apply for. Only write what's true of you. Applying is free, and nobody should pay for a job.

Questions people ask

Do I have to sign up?

No. There's no account. Your text stays in your browser.

Should I put a photo on a CV for remote jobs?

This builder has no photo box, and an employer abroad doesn't need one to read your CV. If an advert asks for one, follow the advert.
