What the numbers show

On 1 November 2026, 68 remote roles in our list named Ghana, from 20 employers. Pavago led with 13, then Teach For All and Wikimedia Foundation with 10 each. Another 451 roles were open across Africa, EMEA or worldwide, so 519 in all were open to someone living in Ghana, as long as nothing else in the advert rules you out.

Treat this as a snapshot, as roles open and close every week. Being on this list doesn't mean an employer works with us. See today's live list for Ghana.

Employers with the most roles naming Ghana

Ghana's list has an unusual mix. Next to firms that find staff for others, such as Pavago and Hire Hangar, you've got education and non-profit names such as Teach For All, Wikimedia Foundation and GiveDirectly. Those adverts often name a list of countries, not Ghana alone. In fact, the same roles often also name Kenya (38 of the 68) and South Africa (29).

Real titles from the list include Senior Growth Marketing Manager at M-KOPA, Director of Talent Management at GiveDirectly, Data Analyst and Data Engineer at Pavago, and Sales Manager at Hire Hangar.

If you're starting out

Only 9 of the 68 carry our entry level flag, which comes from words in the title. They include a Growth and Marketing Associate at Hire Hangar, a Media and Editorial Coordinator at Teach For All, a Junior Digital Marketer Teaching Assistant on a six month fixed term at Generation UK and Ireland, and a Virtual Assistant and an Executive Assistant at Pavago.

The 451 roles that don't name a country

Worldwide roles made up 252 of them, EMEA 193 and Africa 6. Those are mostly engineering and data work, with 114 and 90 roles. Read the advert carefully, as a role called EMEA can still need a base in Europe. Our guides on EMEA roles from Africa and what worldwide really means explain how to check.

Ghana is on UTC+0, which is the same as London in winter and an hour behind it in summer. That's good news for European roles. It's a real point to make in your application, and our time zone tool gives you a line to paste.

How to apply from Ghana

  1. Start with the roles that name Ghana, because you know the employer has thought about hiring there.
  2. Then go through the wider pool, and read the location line of each one. The largest employers there on 1 November 2026 were Meridial, Supabase, Welo Global and Canonical.
  3. Put your city and your hours in your first line. Our email builder makes this quick.
  4. Compare your CV with the advert using the word check, and add the words that are true of you.

Don't send the same CV to every advert. With many people applying for the same role across several countries, the ones who answer what the advert asks stand out. Keep each application short and specific.

Getting paid and tax

Ask how you'll be paid before you sign. If you bill a client abroad in dollars, the Bank of Ghana says the money goes to a Foreign Exchange Account, and our guide explains that rule. GRA taxes a resident on worldwide income, so read remote work taxes in Ghana.

How we count

We read employers' own job boards, and each role in our list links to the employer's own page. A role counts as naming Ghana if its location lists Ghana. The counts overlap, because one role can name many countries. Applying is free, and nobody should pay for a job. If your country is nearby, compare Nigeria's list.
